Indoor Lighting?

All lamps on our website are NOT suitable for wet/damp rooms such as a bathroom, because of splashing water and condensation. The lamps are therefore only suitable for usage in dry rooms and indoors. They’re safe for use in your restroom though.

Lamps have to be splash water proof in order to be safely mounted in a bathroom. According to strict rules imposed by the European Union, IP-Values are mandatory on all bathroom lamps. These IP-Values are the norm with regards to the usage of lighting in wet rooms. A greater IP-Value means better protection from moisture and water. An IP-44 value is generally used and applicable for lighting in the bathroom. In the vicinity of sinks an IP-21 value is recommended. The following IP-values are available:

  • IP21 – protection against dripping water
  • IP44 – splash water proof
  • IP54 – dust- and splash water proof
  • IP65 – protection against streaming water

None of our lamps are provided with these IP-values. Pay careful attention to this while purchasing a lamp for your bathroom. Ask your merchant for help if you’re not entirely sure about this.


Colors and mosaic patterns of ordered lamps?

Despite close collaboration with our manufacturers, it is still possible that your order is not exactly the same as pictured in our webshop. Mosaic patterns and usage of color may differ slightly, because our products are handcrafted. It’s our goal to deliver your item as closely matching the picture.


Complaints?

Of course, it’s unfortunate if you have a complaint about the services you’ve experienced. Regardless, we kindly ask you to alert us with your complaint via an email to our customer service department. You may also call us or use regular mail.

Upon receipt of your complaint, you will receive a confirmation. We will answer your complaint within 14 days of receipt. In case we need more time, we will notify you.


How can I tell whether my online order has been successfull?

After you place an order, you’ll receive a conformation via e-mail. In case you don’t receive this, most likely the order has not been successfully processed. However. if you’re not entirely sure please contact us at +31 (0)314 846 579 or e-mail at customerservice@oriental-lights.com


Can I track my order?

Yes, that is possible. As soon as we’ve shipped your order you’ll receive a track and trace number, which you can use to track your shipment.


Can I use an alternative delivery address?

During placement of your order you may enter a different invoice address with an alternative delivery address. For example, the invoice will state your home address, whereas your purchase will be delivered at your business or workplace.


What happens if I am not at home during delivery?

In case you’re not home during delivery, a message will notify you of this occurrence. Another delivery attempt will most likely find place the following day or the package may have been delivered for you at a neighbor’s place.


How do I return a mosaic lamp?

Purchases may be returned, if so desired, within 14 days after arrival at your address, possibly accompanied by their original packaging, including instructions/manual.


What if my item is damaged after delivery?

Our team at Oriental Lights are very careful at safely packing and shipping your mosaic lamps. Of course it’s a bummer if something still goes wrong during shipping to your address. Nevertheless we’re here for you to help find a satisfying solution.

In case your lamp is damaged after delivery, please call us within 2 business days at +31(0)314 846579 or mail us at customerservice@oriental-lights.com. We’d appreciate some photo’s showing the damaged area of the lamp. We’ll process your damage report a.s.a.p. and keep you informed.


When do I receive my refund after I return an item?

We’ll refund the payment for your purchase no later than 5 business days after Oriental Lights has cancelled your order in our system.

After we inspect the returned item(s) and if we conclude that damage and/or wear and tear are apparent, we’re forced to compensate the damages financially. Therefore a portion of your payment will be offset against our damages. In case a returned item is damaged so much that it is rendered unsalable and worthless, we may be forced to refuse the refunding of your payment.


What does a CE-marking stand for?

De CE-marking is not a quality mark.

With the application of the CE-marking (for products to which this applies), the manufacturer or his authorized representative indicates that the product complies with all applicable European rules and that the conformity or conformity procedures have been completed.
